The thin Socks - Made in Sweden

Our Merino Wool Socks come in two different models - a thin and a thick one. The thin socks work perfectly as the only sock on warmer days or as a first layer/liner combined with our thick socks for colder conditions.

The LOC Merino socks are made of the finest and softest Merino Wool. They are designed for both warmth and ventilation and are thoroughly tested by ourselves to work perfectly in our waders (but of course they function equally well in all kinds of waders, as well as in your hiking or hunting boots).

The Merino wool we use is 100% Mulesing Free and comes with an Oko-Tex Certification which means no harmful substances are mixed into our socks.

The Design

The soles, the heal and upper toe area of our thin socks are terry knitted for a warm, protective and cushioning feel. The shaft and upper part of the sock is rib knitted for best possible fit and breathability. A special, technical anti-slip knitting technique in the wrist area make sure the sock stays up and that the feet gets optimal blood circulation. All in all, this is a Merino sock that delivers both form and function.

Taking care of your Merino Socks

Wool truly is an amazing material. Its resistance to dirt and bacteria is well documented. This is why you don't have to wash it as often as you would wash other fabrics.
After using your socks for a while, simply rinse the socks in lukewarm water and then hang them to dry. This is most often the only thing you need to make them feel fresh again. Then again, if they smell fishy even after rinsing, then it is time for them to hit the washing machine.

  • Wash on the wool cycle on the washing machine (maximum heat 30 degrees Celsius)
  • If you have the opportunity use detergent made specially for wool. If you don´t have wool detergent, use a mild environmentally certified detergent without enzymes and a neutral PH value.
  • Don't use bleach.
  • Do not use fabric softeners. It is bad for the environment and it reduces the performance of the fabric. Mostly it reduces wicking properties and prolongs drying time.
  • Do not tumble dry. Again bad for the environment (and your energy bill) and since wool is sensitive to heat it's a bad idea.
Remember: If you wash Merino Wool garments to often you reduce the natural properties of the wool. If possible, use a clothes bag that will protect the Wool fabric in the machine.
