LOC MERINO SOCK - THICK
LOC MERINO SOCK - THICK
.LOC Merino Socks. 84% Merino Wool. Made in Sweden!
Our Merino Wool Socks come in two different models - a thin and a thick one.
The thick socks are perfect to use as the only layer straight onto the skin on colder days. But, if you are in the need of more warmth, just put on the LOC Merino Thick sock as a first layer/liner and you are toasting.
The LOC Merino Thick socks are made of the finest, softest and warmest Merino Wool. They are designed and thoroughly tested by ourselves to work perfectly in our waders (but of course they function equally well in all kinds of waders, as well as in your hiking or hunting boots).
The Merino Wool we use is 100% Mulesing Free and comes with an Oko-Tex Certification which means no harmful substances are mixed into our socks.
The Design
The whole sock is terry knitted for a warm, protective and cushioning feel. We have added reinforced mid-sole support to relieve pressure. A thinner, technical knitting technique is applied in the wrist area for a perfect fit and to make sure your feet gets optimal blood circulation.
The LOC Merino thick sock is a medium short model specifically designed to work with our waders. They reach just above the top of the gravel guards in order not to cover the 3-D mesh and thereby make you over dress in that area. All in all, this is a Merino sock that delivers both form and function.

Taking care of your Merino Socks
- Wash on the wool cycle on the washing machine (maximum heat 30 degrees Celsius)
- If you have the opportunity use detergent made specially for wool. If you don´t have wool detergent, use a mild environmentally certified detergent without enzymes and a neutral PH value.
- Don't use bleach.
- Do not use fabric softeners. It is bad for the environment and it reduces the performance of the fabric. Mostly it reduces wicking properties and prolongs drying time.
- Do not tumble dry. Again bad for the environment (and your energy bill) and since wool is sensitive to heat it's a bad idea.
